Baby Announcements
I didn’t know that people sent out Baby Announcements any more these days until I received one form my sister-in-law. They do like to do all this sort of thing, whereas I was happy to let the news spread by word of mouth to all the people that mattered. I kept things low key with no celebrations at all, except private ones of course.
The idea of a baby shower was scary to me as I did not want to celebrate too early knowing that there was a risk of complications with my pregnancy. That meant that there were no baby shower invitations and we just had a small gathering afterwards so that people had an opportunity to meet the babies.
It was hard work for me as I had twins and I was not too well after having them so I needed to rest and just did not have the time for thinking about birth announcements and things like that. I don’t think that we missed out, the children still got a lot of gifts from friends and family, which was very unexpected and generous. I made sure that I sent out some thank you letters and so I did contact everyone that mattered in the end.
